Dear Hiring Manager,

I am excited to be applying for the tattoo artist position at Good Omen Tattoo. I have been creating art since elementary school and tattoos since June of 2023. Art has always been a passion of mine. I adore the community fostered by your tattoo shop, and knew I had to apply when I saw the job posting.

During my previous role as a Starbucks barista and cashier at Target, I learned important customer service and engagement skills. Learning how to work with others, both coworkers and customers alike has given me a greater appreciation for human interactions. I have completed multiple art portfolios, including one (and one in progress) A.P. art portfolio. I have had pieces displayed at the Santa Cruz County STEAM Expo, the Art and Music Festival (2023), and the SLVHS Open House (2022 and 2023). I have taken art classes through my high school for four years, including two years of Advanced Placement, and one semester at Cabrillo College. I am fully skilled in performing both the tattoos and customer interaction associated with this position.

One of the factors that attracted me to this position is Good Omen Tattoo’s reputation for variety. I am interested in many different art styles and have been experimenting with various techniques and media for years now. I appreciate the artists’ versatility at Good Omen Tattoo and feel that I would be a good fit.
