These are pieces that I feel satisfied with.
"Spongebob Against MLM's"
I did this piece for the poem project, for a writer to respond to. My master artist was Henri Matisse, and I specifically looked at Goldfish, Moroccan Landscape, and The Green Stripe for color, wash, and underpainting inspiration. For a current artist, I looked at the work of Caroline Absher. Her work is extremely colorful and "messy", meaning that it's washy and almost abstract. I was inspired by her use of unrealistic color and unique shading. I also liked how she lets color peek through layers of overpainting.
